Stress, anxiety and tension all promote weight gain via increases in the fat storage hormone called cortisol. A regular yoga practice can help with reducing cortisol and with weight loss. And it can be done in the comfort of your home, in a short amount of time.
We teach yoga, with one-on-one private lessons, at our center. We provide everything you need and customize the routine to you. Our goal is for you to develop your own home routine.
Everyone can do this – it does not have to be difficult, or fancy, and we’d like to emphasize that. Our medical director, Dr Rollins, has done the same 22 minute routine most every morning for decades. He likes to say “it’s not perfect, but it’s mine”!
All of our instructors are Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT), which is a distinction given to teachers whose training and teaching experience meet Yoga Alliance requirements. A RYT must complete training with a Registered Yoga School, be confirmed by Yoga Alliance and current with annual fees and continuing education.
Our main instructor, Monica Cullinane, has studied yoga for 2 decades with the most prominent yoga instructors in the world. She is an experienced 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher & Trainer with Yoga Alliance & Iyengar Yoga certified.
