Sleep Supplements

Perhaps nothing is more frustrating and harmful to great health than insomnia.  Below is a list of supplements that we’ve found helpful in restoring restful sleep.

  • Melatonin 1-15mg at bedtime (sleep promoting hormone)
  • L-theanine 100-400mg at bedtime (increases calm alpha-wave brain activity)
  • GABA 100-500mg at bedtime (calming)
  • Phosphatidylserine 200-400mg take 4-5 hours prior to bedtime (lowers cortisol)
  • Ashwaganda 125-250mg 1-2x/day (lowers cortisol)
  • 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) 50-300mg at bedtime (precursor to serotonin – melatonin)
  • Relora-Plex from Douglas Labs (lowers cortisol)
  • Rest-Reset from Douglas Labs (calming)
