Scott Rollins, MD

Board Certified with the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine, Dr. Rollins has been studying and prescribing Bioidentical Hormones for almost 20 years, with thousands of patients. He has always had an interest in real preventative medicine, anti-aging and integrative medicine. In 2006 Dr Rollins opened AdvantAge Integrative Medicine in Grand Junction in order to provide specialty services to Western Colorado. In 2008 he founded the Integrative Medicine Center of Western Colorado.

Dr. Rollins is also Board Certified with the American Board of Family Practice and has been certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support. With these certifications and years of experience in a rural practice he is qualified in managing most all routine medical issues as well as handling serious medical emergencies, fractures and lacerations.

In 2004 Dr. Rollins was chosen for “Colorado Family Physician of the Year”. This prestigious award is given annually to only one of over 1800 family physicians. The recipient is chosen by the Board of the Colorado Chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is based on their expertise and commitment to family medicine.

He is a clinical faculty member at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and hosts medical students several months each year. He has also taught several days each month at St. Mary’s Family Practice program in Grand Junction.

He is a member of the American College for the Advancement of Medicine (ACAM). Having passed the “gold standard” examination from ACAM, he is “Certified in Chelation Therapy“.

Dr. Rollins has extensive background in Occupational Medicine, caring for work related injuries, and is certified as “preferred provider” with Pinnacol Assurance, Colorado’s largest workmen compensation insurance company. He serves as a medical director for Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado in Plateau Valley and Debeque.

After graduating from the University Of Kansas School Of Medicine he then finished his residency training in Family Practice at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction. He opened his private practice in Collbran, CO in 1994, where he and his partner provide full service family practice care while providing 24 hr / day emergency coverage.

Scott, his wife, and two boys live in the Plateau Valley, on the Grand Mesa, and especially enjoy the outdoors, camping and fishing, skiing and hiking. They are shooting enthusiasts and are active in karate. He is from the Ozark Mountains of Missouri and as a kid grew up tagging along with his father, a veterinarian, and acquired an interest in science and medicine. He is also an avid musician playing guitar and piano.

Amber Rainey, Registered Nurse

Amber Rainey, RN, grew up on the Grand Mesa, right here in CO, and received her Bachelor’s in Nursing from Mesa State College. She has extensively trained with Dr Rollins and specializes in bioidentical hormone replacement, food allergies, and autoimmune diseases.

Amber is “Certified in Chelation Therapy” by the prestigious American College for the Advancement of Medicine (ACAM). She specializes in customized IV therapies and directs our IV therapy programs.

She was also the study coordinator for our participation the NIH funded “Trial to Assess Chelation Therapy” and she is the medical administrator of our HCG weight loss program.

Brett Gaines, Medical Assistant

Brett Gaines joined the Integrative Medicine team in March, 2011. She received her Medical Assistant training under the direction of Dr. Scott Rollins in many areas including Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement, Phlebotomy, and IV administration.

As the current administrator for our Food Allergy and Sublingual Immuno Therapy programs Brett enjoys helping patients work towards better health. She is intrigued by all aspects of holistic medicine and strives for continuous learning.

Lisa Holmes, Certified Laser Specialist

Lisa went to Mesa State College from 1993-95’. She then received her Cosmetology and Aestheticians license in 1997. Lisa is a certified CrossFit trainer and has been enjoying the fitness and beauty industry for 18 years. As the previous owner of Ciao Bella Salon, she enjoyed working in the industry, but has always had an interest and passion for laser aesthetics. Lisa is a Certified Laser Specialist and has done continuing education in laser skin care with Clearskin Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. The training, education and superior quality has created a consistency for the clients and level of excellence that no other clinic offers.

As a professional in this industry she always excels by being the best she can be and by sharing the belief of commitment. She consistently gives 100% and will always strive to make a significant difference in individual’s lives. Lisa is very proud to be a part of the Integrative Medicine Center and work with a team that is concerned about the true well being of individual’s health inside and out.

Lisa and her husband, Don Holmes, have 5 children, sons Deauntae, Don, Asa and daughters Aaliyah and Jessica. They call Western Colorado home and enjoy being a part of their community.

Monica received her training as a health coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition's cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program.

During her training she studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle managment techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world's top health and wellness experts. Her teachers included Dr Andrew Weil,

Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine, Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center, Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University, Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating, and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.

Her education has equipped her with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills and her knowledge of different dietary theories, Monica work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.
